Five players Wenger should take a closer look at in January

Julian Draxler (Wolfsburg)

The German playmaker has long been linked with a move to Arsenal, with the Gunners reportedly tabling a £43 million bid for his services over the summer. Of course, the offer was declined and the 24-year-old opted to remain at Wolfsburg.

However, Draxler is unhappy at the Bundesliga club after being booed by his own fans during their 3-2 defeat to Hertha Berlin earlier in the month and is seeking an exit at the earliest opportunity.

Reports in Germany recently revealed that the creative midfielder would not feature for Wolfsburg again and wasn’t in the squad for the club’s 5-0 thrashing to Bayern Munich yesterday afternoon.

It’s now believed Wolfsburg have grown tired of his unprofessional behaviour and have slapped a £30 million price-tag on his head.

Arsenal are craving a left-sided midfielder and Draxler would certainly solve that problem.
