The January transfer window is fast approaching, and Arsenal continue to be linked with several players from around Europe who can possibly enhance their chances at Premier League glory this season.
Arsenal currently sit top of the Premier League table having brushed aside Stoke City 3-1 yesterday at the Emirates. Arsene Wenger’s men have not lost in the Premier League since the opening fixture against Liverpool and look like a side that could possibly go all the way this year (I know, we’ve heard this all before).
But with the January transfer window just three weeks away, it gives Wenger the opportunity to bolster his squad and continue their charge for the title and other silverware up for grabs.
Although Wenger has said he doesn’t intend to sign replacements for injured players such as Santi Cazorla, there are several players, big-name players in fact, that will be put up for sale next month that perhaps the Frenchman shouldn’t ignore right away.
Here are five players that are on the brink of leaving their club as soon as January, and one or two that could be persuaded away from their current club with the right offer. Maybe there are some names on this list that Wenger should take a closer look at before dismissing the possibility of bringing in a new face(s) altogether:
