The most ridiculous claim this former Gunner has come out with so far?

Well I’ve gone a few weeks without saying it, but what a complete ARSEnal Nasri is!

Some may find this harsh, but Samir ‘I went for money’ Nasri recently declared:

‘At Arsenal, I played too much.’

Now at Arsenal the most games he played in a season was 46, this was also his best season at the club. Now with 10 games to go in the Premier League, the French midfielder has played appeared 35 times for Manchester City, so how the hell did we play him too much at Arsenal? I just don’t get it.

The 24-year-old maintains that the reason he left Arsenal for City last summer was to win trophies as he stated back in August that ‘Arsenal can no longer compete for titles’…it’s amazing just how many trophies he has actually won since joining the Manchester club.

City failed to get past the group stages in the Champions League, with the club stating that they were unlucky and would go on to win the Europa League, which they crashed out of last week to Sporting! During this time they have also gone out of the FA and Carling Cup. They now currently sit one point behind Manchester United in the league after leading the flock for the majority of the season.

Nasri can only get his hands on the Premier League title, but with United in form and on top, it is looking like Samir Nasri and co. will not win anything this season. This would no doubt make every Arsenal fan on the planet laugh their heads off all the way to next season.

Nasri has brought criticism on himself and has already started to fall out of favour at City.

The France international stated:

‘I score less than at Arsenal, but I don’t have the same role.’

This is the first thing that he has said in a long time that actually makes sense. He does have a different role at City than he did at Arsenal and it must be really difficult to score from the bench.

Nasri finished off by saying:

‘I came here to win the title, play at the highest level and I’m improving.’

That maybe the reason why he went to City, to play at the highest level (Europa League) and apparently he is improving, ok Samir.

I would love to see just one stat that Nasri has improved on since he left Arsenal because the only one I could think of is that he sees more of the bench than the green grass.

    I’m happy Nasri left, now.

We need players that want to contribute towards winning a trophy, not ones that go to a club, hoping they will win one for him.

Well he’s right. We can’t compete for the title anymore and havn’t won anything for 7 years. Going forward, City have much better prospects of winning trophies than Arsene “4th place is a trophy” Wenger. So why wouldn’t he leave for simple if he also gets loads more money. Just logical really.

We hav depth in our squad, quality is also superb,i dnt see any risonz to why we want to make these unloyal players popular by discussing thm on our blogs. Its evident these guys left 4 their own selfish interest and love of money. Nasri stil young and could hv waitd to and money was going to follow him up n down frm wel establishd teams tht knows how to win cups if thts wt he wntd.loyalty is 1 gret importnt tool in th carier of soccer.

To say we cant compete for titles anymore is a joke! We’ve been competing year on year and will always be no matter what, the last 7 years weve fallen short for various reasons, biggest 2 being a new stadium(finance) and bad injuries to players for long spells (v.persie, edu, diaby, ramsey, fabregas, vermaelen, rosicky, wilshire etc). How many teams have done this or could do this and be able to still compete for title like we have(without being bankrolled)? To right off a teams future chances of trophies with a history, fans, new stadium, manager, and future improved finances like Arsenal is just folly. Please note players not included in list as nasri etc showed they can change but the Arsenal will always replace them and move forward and up. 😉

  • Reece says:
