The most ridiculous claim this former Gunner has come out with so far?

Well I’ve gone a few weeks without saying it, but what a complete ARSEnal Nasri is!

Some may find this harsh, but Samir ‘I went for money’ Nasri recently declared:

‘At Arsenal, I played too much.’

Now at Arsenal the most games he played in a season was 46, this was also his best season at the club. Now with 10 games to go in the Premier League, the French midfielder has played appeared 35 times for Manchester City, so how the hell did we play him too much at Arsenal? I just don’t get it.

The 24-year-old maintains that the reason he left Arsenal for City last summer was to win trophies as he stated back in August that ‘Arsenal can no longer compete for titles’…it’s amazing just how many trophies he has actually won since joining the Manchester club.

City failed to get past the group stages in the Champions League, with the club stating that they were unlucky and would go on to win the Europa League, which they crashed out of last week to Sporting! During this time they have also gone out of the FA and Carling Cup. They now currently sit one point behind Manchester United in the league after leading the flock for the majority of the season.

Nasri can only get his hands on the Premier League title, but with United in form and on top, it is looking like Samir Nasri and co. will not win anything this season. This would no doubt make every Arsenal fan on the planet laugh their heads off all the way to next season.

Nasri has brought criticism on himself and has already started to fall out of favour at City.

The France international stated:

‘I score less than at Arsenal, but I don’t have the same role.’

This is the first thing that he has said in a long time that actually makes sense. He does have a different role at City than he did at Arsenal and it must be really difficult to score from the bench.

Nasri finished off by saying:

‘I came here to win the title, play at the highest level and I’m improving.’

That maybe the reason why he went to City, to play at the highest level (Europa League) and apparently he is improving, ok Samir.

I would love to see just one stat that Nasri has improved on since he left Arsenal because the only one I could think of is that he sees more of the bench than the green grass.

  • legolas still trust Wenger says:

well who join man city ? only money oriented honestly lot and lot of players are burned ther nasri could be a hero in arsenal but prefer bench-warmer hahaha what abt Dzeko – Tevez – the poor Jhonson i hope he join arsenal by the way .its really annoying i hate teams who splash the cash even @ fifa 2012 i dont buy superstar i work on youth 😛 i dont get these stupid mafiosos or oil lucky bastards who either want to splash their cash for stupidity or money laundering

  • adeoye says:

A very useless player. I could see that he’s enjoying city’s money because of his weight

    • JBGooner says:

He’s not entirely useless. He scored the winning goal against Chelsea which allowed Arsenal to go 6 pts clear of Chelsea!

      • Eternal Gunner says:

that is the best thing nasri as ever done. if he can score against spuds, then his fotballing destiny will be completed and he can get fat and rotten on shity’s bench.

  • Nasri is neither an “idiot” nor “a very useless player”. He’s a good player, and I wish he’d stayed. He didn’t, but that doesn’t mean that we have to insult him.

    • goona-goona says:

that is true, his personality may not be of the top professional and also loyalty issues may bring criticisms. But Nasri could really have developed into a real genius at arsenal by this season

  • zam says:

he cannot be blamed, their benches have better cusihon..!!

  • segunner says:

poor article, nasri is a class player but jumped ship to join the revolution at city. you cant question how many trophies he has won as he hasn’t even been there a season yet!

he no longer plays for us so no point wasting time writing about him. let the city bloggers talk about him.

    • Iain says:

Nasri is not a class player at all, he lost all class with his bitchness and his insults about Arsenal FC.

Your right he hasn’t been there a season yet, however he has already been knocked out of 2 European Competitions and 2 Domestic Competitions in that time.

      • Patlow71 says:

        Iain,

I think you are missing two key points. He is a class player, just not a class professional. And let’s be honest, as things stand at the moment City look more likely to challenge for major honours in the next year or two, so I have to agree this is a poor article we all know Nasri is a t**t but this story adds nothing.
And please note I did say as things stand, I do feel if Wengers stops being so stubborn and adds two to three established players in the summer and may a good squad player then we can go on to compete again.

    • Archnemz says:

Nasri has potential 2 b a v good player – key word being potential, but leaving arsenal at the time he did and the way he did has f**ked him. A world class player leaves a team where they’re the key player joins another star studded team and still is the key player… ie Cristiano Ronaldo. A very good can leave a big team where he is key player, join another star studded team but remains average ie Nasri. He went from a team where he was the most important cog to beam just a cog. Will he ever rise above Silva, Toure, Ballotelli… me thinks he ain’t that good. Nasri is brilliant again playing for France because he is again their most important player but at City he is 7th best player and does not have the character to rise above his teammates. That’s what Nasri lacks…. character. Arsenal turned him into the beat midfielder in the EPL and now joined a team where he is 7th fiddle… NO CHARACTER! Shit excuses for your crap season… NO CHARACTER. Man city letting Tevez play again cos they r desperate and would play Saddam Husein himself if it helped them win… NO CHARACTER. End rant lololol

      • VanP says:

so true. he f**ked himself. does he still play good for france i’m not sure about that one. at arsenal he was as free a bird. now he’s like a rat with nowhere to hide. he show flashes here and there. to me he is an excellent player but he’s too much of a puss* to handle the egos at city. Milner and Johnson will ave him.

    • Bianca James says:

who’re you and what do you know ?

  • jay says:

Just a good player ,certainly not great or worth what City paid for him to park his Gucci clad arse on the bench.Players like Arteta Song and Wilshire are real Arsenal quality players who will benifit the club in the long run.

  • Reece says:

If you think city don’t have a better chance to win a trophy than arsenal then you are an idiot yourself. Nasri isn’t a fan of arsenal so why should he stay when there were better chances to win a trophy and get paid more? nasri made the right choice for himself

    • Eternal Gunner says:

what the f@#k do you shity fan, shity doesn’t have a site that u can go talk your shit on… Don’t quit your day job shity ain’t goin anywhere with over weigh misfits like nasri and co.

  • Reece says:

Also city nearly qualified from the group stage in a HARD group. Not qualifying from it is not something to be ashamed off. City are going to finish above us for the second season running

    • Iain says:

Doesn’t matter how hard the group stage was fact is they SHOULD have qualified from it, also Europa League? they were the ones who said they would win that.

Fact is Man City’s EGO’s are actually bigger than there potential.

      • Reece says:

City’s ego may be high, but their ambition is higher than arsenal’s. If city had our group, they would of went through, if we was in their group, we would of struggled also.

Fact is city are competing for the premier league title, arsenal are fighting for 3rd/4th place. What team would you rather be at if you wasn’t an arsenal fan

        • Ayor says:

Please Dude, Arsenal all the way. How do you leave a clubs that has a proven record of stability over many years for one that promises a flash in the Pan cos of instant gratification. there is a process for success and it takes time and effort. Man City cannot buy that. Besides give arsenal their kind of of cash base and we would win the league without batting an eyelid. Tell me, if City had Djourou in CB where would they be on the LOG?????????????

        • acherco says:

with the kind of money they’ve spent and are paying their players, you will expect them to at least win the league. remember, mancity have outspent even real madrid in the last 3 years.
Nasri is a good player, he left because his wages was tripled. he was on 50 thou at arsenal. By the way, he wanted to join manu after l equip, the french news paper accused him of money grabbing, but manu could only give him 100 thousand. He left for money. So did Clichy, who once said, whoever joins city, joins for money
I would have done the same.

      • Reece says:

Fact is city won more than utd AND arsenal

    • ganso09 says:

Reece admit it, your a city fan pretending to be an Arsenal fan. No way you an Arsenal fan with those comments you just made. It aint City who are more ambitious, its the sheikh who has the ambition, and city would be nowhere without his cash, just like chelsea. Its NOT a question of choice, we simply CANT compete with their money, almost ALL of their players are mercenaries, they got no love for City, Na$ri is just a disloyal snake with no respect for the man who brought him to the UK. TBH after the last few years i only want players who love the club to put on the shirt so im glad he’s gone. City can enjoy their trophies but their victories will be hollow, they have lieterally bought there success, as a fan i dont think thats anything to boast about. did you know city were Arsenal rejects, the sheikh wanted to buy us but city were just easier to buy, they are just arab toys, nothing more

  • jay says:

I wonder what will happen to City when the Sheik of Araby gets bored and pulls his money out.Players like Nasri and co will be legging it qicker you can say Blue moon
