Carlos Soler’s agent claims the Valencia midfielder is happy at the Mestalla amid interest from Arsenal.

Mikel Arteta is reportedly keen to sign the 23-year-old this summer as he aims to bolster his squad ahead of next season.

Despite Soler recently signing a new long-term deal with Valencia, the La Liga club are believed to be open to the idea of cashing in one on their prized assets and value the Spaniard at around £30million

However, Soler’s agent, Rodri, insists the midfielder would be delighted to see out his career at Valencia and that only a significant offer would possibly tempt the Spain Under-21 international to leave the Mestalla at this point of his career.

Speaking to Radio Valencia (via Metro) Rodri said:

‘Carlos and his family would be delighted to end his career at Valencia. Having people in the house who love the house is what closes the circle. At the moment, Carlos really identifies with the club and the club identify with him.

‘If I were Valencia, I’d look for players of that profile. It’s clear that we can never say that Carlos will end his career at Valencia, but right now he’s very comfortable [there] and his family is too.

‘A different situation would only arise if it was something very good for him and also for the club.

‘But I repeat that, right now, he and his family see themselves at Valencia forever.’

Despite having the likes of Matteo Guendouzi, Granit Xhaka and Lucas Torreira to choose from, Arteta may believe that he needs to add some creativity in his midfield department this summer and sees Soler as an ideal candidate for the job.
