Paris Saint-Germain have reportedly met with Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang’s representatives ahead of a potential move in January.
The French side are looking for potential replacements for Edinson Cavani should the Uruguay international decide to leave this month and have added the Arsenal striker on their list.
FootMercato claim PSG want to sign Aubameyang on loan this month with an option to buy. However, the Ligue 1 champions will have to act quickly as Barcelona are also reportedly interested in the 30-year-old.
Aubameyang has a contract at the Emirates until the end of next season and has yet to extend his current deal.
It is believed Aubameyang is waiting to see what effect Mikel Arteta will have on the club and if they can achieve a top four finish before putting pen to paper on a new deal.
With under 18 months left to run on his existing deal, Aubameyang is now weighing up his options and could leave the Gunners before the January window closes if Barcelona are serious about signing him.
Like PSG, Barcelona are also looking to replace one of their strikers after losing Luis Suarez to a serious knee injury which will keep him out of action for four months.
Barcelona have previously shown interest in Aubameyang and could well step up their efforts in the upcoming days if they are given the green light from the striker’s representatives.
