According to Adam Godlewski, Derby County have won the race for Arsenal prospect Krystian Bielik with a reported £10m fee on the table. The news of how much the Championship club will pay for the 21-year-old has left many Arsenal fans praising their transfer hierarchy.

Bielik spent time on loan at League One side Charlton Athletic last season as they won promotion via the playoffs. The Poland under-21 international played 34 games times for the Addicks, scoring four goals – though primarily a centre-back, he played the majority of the campaign at defensive midfield.

Fans took to Twitter to share their thoughts with many impressed by the fee they’ve managed to pick up for their academy prospect.

One supporter lauded Raul Sanllehi and Edu Gaspar for their dealings labelling it as amazing business. Others said that £10m for a player that only has made two sub appearances is an insanely good deal whilst one called it a £10m steal.

A heap of praise has come for the aforementioned duo with some members of the Emirates support claiming that the deal would have only been about £4m if Sanllehi wasn’t around whilst one claimed the club are finally getting value in their sales.

Bielik has only played a total of 33 minutes for Arsenal’s senior side and has also had loan spells at Birmingham City and Walsall over the last two seasons.
