Arsenal’s slow progress in the transfer market so far this summer doesn’t mean there won’t be new – if not familiar – faces returning to the first-team picture next season.
The Gunners may have secured the signing of Brazilian teenager Gabriel Martinelli, but Reiss Nelson is meanwhile making something of a long-awaited return to the club – judging by these Arsenal fans.
Having spent last year on loan at Hoffenheim, Nelson’s form gave a glimpse into his qualities with limited opportunities to show them in an Arsenal shirt so far in his career.
Nelson could well feature next year in the Arsenal first-team – and fans are now even more excited to see the teenager in action after snaps emerged of him in The Gunners’ new strip.
Bolstering Arsenal’s ranks on the wing, some are hoping that the club’s reported pursuit of Wilfried Zaha will be rendered pointless now that the England Under-21 international has the prospect of a long and successful Gunners career.
With Nelson not featuring for The Gunners since their 2-1 defeat to Manchester United in April 2018, these fans are certainly hoping for a ‘madness’ from the wonderkid next year:
