Four players Arsenal could sell this month to generate transfer funds

Mesut Ozil

This is the obvious one, isn’t it?

Emery doesn’t see eye-to-eye with the German for several reasons and has made it clear that the playmaker is not in his plans.

However, Ozil’s agent has stated that despite not featuring regularly under Emery this season, he is happy with life at the Emirates.

Ozil divides the Emirates faithful as it is and has done so for five years now. Some want to see him go, some believe he still has a role to play, but Emery is eager to offload him to loosen the club’s wage bill thus giving him some money to spend.

There have been reports circulating over the past several weeks that the likes of Inter Milan, Real Madrid, Manchester United and some clubs in Turkey are all keen to sign him. However, his huge £350,000-a-week wages, plus his desire to stay at Arsenal, will prove a huge stumbling block to overcome.

There’s still two weeks left to go before the window closes, so anything can still happen from now until then with Ozil.
