Arsenal left-back Nacho Monreal was substituted at half-time against Qarabag this evening but the Spaniard put in a good first half display.
The Spaniard played in a back three and contributed to the opening goal for Sokratis by heading the ball towards goal before it hit the Greek international and went in.
Fans on Twitter want Monreal to remain at the club:

This is the man that Man United wish they’d taken and given all those millions instead of Sanchez. Glad he wants to do it at Arsenal. Nacho is Mr Consistent for Real!

Like a number of first-team players, Monreal’s contract expires in the summer, and while the 32-year-old has recently told the Evening Standard that talks have begun over a new deal, the club are again taking their time with the negotiations.
The fullback will be able to talk to foreign clubs in just under three months’ time, and while he has made it known that he wants to stay, there could be offers from his homeland that could tempt him into leaving if talks are not concluded by then.
