Ex-Arsenal midfielder Ray Parlour thinks the club have found a real talent in Emile Smith Rowe.

The teenager scored his first senior goal in only his third senior appearance for the club this evening, and the former Gunner took to Twitter shortly after the midfielder scored to praise the player’s display:

Manager Unai Emery has really put his faith in Smith Rowe, and he is getting almost immediate payback. The midfielder was given his debut against Vorksla in the first round of group games in the Europa League, before being given his full debut against Brentford in the Carabao Cup last month.

On only his second start for the club against Qarabag, he slotted away cooly after being put through on the right-hand side, showing no nerves despite only being 18 years of age.

The midfielder was then subbed ten minutes later and was replaced by Mesut Ozil with his side 2-0 up.
