The transfer window may have closed last week but Arsenal boss Unai Emery continues his push for signings in the market.
According to The Daily Star, the Gunners boss remains keen on landing 18-year-old forward Erling Haaland from Swedish side Molde – although they face a stern challenge to get a deal over the line.
The report adds that Red Bull Salzburg are willing to cough up a fee of £7m to land the teenager this month and have until the end of August, when the European transfer window closes, to agree a deal for the forward.
However, Arsenal will not end their pursuit of Haaland even if Austrian giants Salzburg snatch the player’s services this month as it is indicated the Gunners will push ahead with a raid for the player in next summer’s transfer window.
Despite his tender age, Haaland has impressed in Molde’s first-team by scoring 11 goals in 30 league appearances and boasts ten goals in eight caps for Norway’s U19 side.
