Arsenal could be set for a major blow to their ranks behind the scenes, with continued speculation that a senior figure could be lured across Europe.
The Telegraph reports Arsenal have been made aware of AC Milan’s formal approach for chief executive Ivan Gazidis and are preparing for his possible departure at the Emirates Stadium.
Gazidis has played a key-part in Arsenal’s restructure in the past 12 months which has brought the likes of Sven Mislintat and Raul Sanllehi to north London, as well as the appointment of Unai Emery as successor to long-serving boss Arsene Wenger.
Seven-times European Cup winners AC Milan have identified Gazidis as a prime candidate to move to the San Siro this summer, following their recent takeover, but a final decision from Gazidis is yet to be made.
However, Arsenal are preparing themselves for a departure as the chances of an exit have risen to become a distinct possibility.
