Arsenal have been active in the transfer market during the close season, with Unai Emery rejuvenating the side he inherited at the Emirates Stadium, and attention may now shift towards departures.

The Telegraph states that both Danny Welbeck and David Ospina are candidates to be sold before the transfer window comes to a close, despite both featuring at the World Cup for their respective nations, due to the depth Arsenal currently boast.

Emery has secured the signature of Germany international Bernd Leno to compete with Petr Cech for a spot between the posts next season, while Arsenal’s attacking options have been significantly strengthened in the past year following the arrivals of Alexandre Lacazette, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Henrikh Mkhitaryan.

Welbeck has failed to hit double figures for goals in any of his four seasons at Arsenal since signing for Manchester United, in a spell which has been plagued by injury, while Ospina has never quite managed to cement his spot in the first-team after he arrived in the same window.
