Arsenal boss Unai Emery may have suggested that his transfer business is done ahead of the new Premier League season but the ‘big’ opportunity he hinted at may have emerged.

BeIN Sports claim that Arsenal are eyeing a move for Bayern Munich’s versatile winger Kingsley Coman, with the Gunners in the market for a wide-man following Alexis Sanchez’s departure to Manchester United in January.

Coman spent three months on the sidelines through injury last term and only signed a new deal with the Bundesliga champions in December, with it being unclear whether Niko Kovac’s side would be willing to negotiate a sale.

However, £44m would be almost double the figure that Bayern paid for the 22-year-old France international, who missed his nation’s World Cup success due to injury, and they may be tempted to cash-in.

Formerly of Paris Saint-Germain and Juventus, Coman would be a significant coup for Unai Emery’s new-look Arsenal side.
