Chinese Super League clubs will rival Arsenal, Tottenham an Napoli for Bordeaux winger Malcom at the end of the season, according to Telefoot.

The French TV station reports that Chinese clubs are “very interested” in the the Brazilian Under 23 international, and they could provide serious competition for the Gunners.

Speaking at the weekend, Malcom opened the door for a summer departure from Bordeaux, and he confirmed that he did want to leave in the January transfer window, but was persuaded to stay in Ligue One until the end of the season:

“I wanted to leave, I’m telling the truth, because it’s my dream: to progress in my career… I spoke with the president (Stéphane Martin , ed) and I told him that he could count on me until the end, I will give everything to help Bordeaux to finish in the top 6 in the championship.”

Reports had suggested that Arsenal were going to make a £35m bid for the 20 year old last month, but an offer never materialised, with Bordeaux reportedly demanding £45m for the player.

Gunners boss Arsene Wenger has admitted that the club have looked at Malcom as a potential signing, but very quickly ruled out a move for the midfielder.

With the player now openly stating his intention to leave in the summer, it looks likely there will be a transfer battle on the cards for the Brazilian.
