Liverpool will offer Arsenal midfielder Jack Wilshere £90k a week if he rejects a new contract with the Gunners, according to the Sun journalist Mike McGrath.
The England international has just five months left to run on his current deal at the Emirates, but there doesn’t seem to be any progress towards an agreement about an extension.
Wilshere is being offered a wage cut by Arsenal with more of his pay being based on appearance bonuses due to his long record with injuries.
The 26 year old has played 24 games in all competitions for the Gunners this season, and despite some niggles, he has managed to stay fit since his return from a broken leg.
Wilshere’s form has certainly merited a new contract with two goals and four assists to his name this campaign. However, the longer negotiations take over a new contract, the more doubt there will that he’ll sign on the dotted line.
The playmaker is said to been on staying at Arsenal, but if Liverpool are offering more money, will he be tempted to make the switch to Anfield?
