Spanish starlet Marco Asensio has revealed that five clubs are chasing his services, including Arsenal, but a transfer away from Real Madrid is unlikely to be sanctioned.
The 22-year-old has emerged as one of the most highly-rated and sought after midfielders in the world following his breakthrough at the Santiago Bernabeu, with his performances attracting a wealth of interest according to Diario Gol.
Arsenal, Juventus, Bayern Munich, Liverpool and Chelsea are all said to have approached the European champions regarding a deal during the past 12 months but Los Blancos president Florentino Perez is not prepared to do a deal.
The defending champions have struggled to compete this season, falling way behind runaway leaders Barcelona, and major changes are expected in the Spanish capital this summer- with suggestions the likes of Toni Kroos, Gareth Bale and Karim Benzema could all be on their way out.
However, Asensio is seen as key in the new generation of Real Madrid but he’s keen to earn more regular starting opportunities- and could push for an exit if he doesn’t find them forthcoming ahead of next season’s campaign.
