Schalke midfielder Max Meyer is odds-on to make a move to the Premier League, according to Calciomercato.com.

The Italian website were reporting on AC Milan’s interest in the 22 year old, but they believe the likelihood of the Rossoneri signing the player is pretty low at the moment.

Meyer’s current suitors in England are said to be Arsenal, Liverpool and Stoke City, with the Gunners said to be trailing the Reds in the race for the German international.

That could change in the coming weeks though, with the player said to be still deciding on his future club.

Meyer’s contract at Schalke expires at the end of the season, and German tabloid Bild report that there are eight teams pursuing the German, with Barcelona also said to be interested.

The player could yet stay in the Bundesliga, with Schalke said to have offered a hefty wage rise in their latest contract offer. Bild also report a decision is expected from the midfielder by the end of March.
