Real Betis goalkeeper Antonio Adan has revealed that Real Madrid midfielder Dani Ceballos would only consider leaving the La Liga champions if he was to return to his former club.
The Spanish Under 21 international moved to Madrid from Betis in the summer for £15m, but has failed to establish himself in the first team at the Bernabeu.
Arsenal were interested in Ceballos before he made the switch to Real, and have again been linked with the 21 year old since then. However speaking to ABC de Sevilla (translated by TalkSport), Adan believes the midfielder only wants to sign for Betis:
“Dani wanted to return to Betis last month. I spoke with him directly and there was the possibility of him returning the club, and he wanted to if it was possible. If there was the possibility of him returning to Betis he would do it, we are the one club he would consider leaving Madrid for.”
When he has played for Madrid, Ceballos has impressed with his performances. He scored twice against Alaves on one of only two league starts this season, but most of his run outs have been in the Copa Del Rey.
The Spaniard is currently sidelined with an ankle injury, and has not had a single minute of first team action since mid January.
