Roma are keen to increase goalkeeper Alisson’s release clause to €90m (£80m), according to Calciomercato.com.

Arsenal have been one of the club’s that have been linked with a move for the Brazilian international in recent weeks, but it seems he could be considering a new deal to remain in Italy.

Alisson is reportedly happy to stay in Rome, but Calciomercato say he is demanding a sizeable wage rise in his new contract from €1.5m a season to €5m; a fourfold increase.

Roma are believed to be willing to go along with the the keeper’s demands, but only if the £80m buyout fee is also included.

The Serie A side are struggling to keep within UEFA’s Financial Fair Play regulations and although they want the Brazilian to stay, the release clause would mean the club would get a hefty payoff if the stopper does leave the Stadio Olimpico in the summer.
