Arsenal could reignite move for £45m rated Brazilian speedster

|

Arsenal will likely revive their interest in Bordeaux winger Malcom in the summer, according to the Evening Standard journalist James Olley.

The Brazilian Under 23 international was heavily linked with a move to the Emirates during the January transfer window, but Malcom’s side Bordeaux were unwilling to let the 20 year old leave the club.

Gunners boss Arsene Wenger admitted that the club had looked at Brazilian, but denied that they had made a bid for the midfielder.

An offer of £35m was reportedly being lined up by Arsenal, with Bordeaux seeking £45m for Malcom, but the Ligue One club always denied they had received a formal approach from the Gunners.

The Brazilian’s pace and guile are likely the main characteristics that attracted Arsenal. He usually plays as an inverted winger from the right hand side, cutting in on to his stronger left foot.

This season, Malcom has made 25 appearances in all competitions, scoring eight times and contributing six assists.
