Arsenal could have an agreement with Chelsea to sell Olivier Giroud in the “coming hours” according to L’Equipe.

The BBC says that the sale of the Frenchman could be important in the signing of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, and it seems like both transfers are nearing the end game.

L’Equipe reports that Chelsea reopened talks with Arsenal today about signing Giroud for €20m (£17.6m) with a “definitive agreement” not far off. That number includes bonuses so the initial fee could be below this amount.

It seems the 31 year old has already agreed personal terms with the Blues in order for the transfer to be swiftly concluded if the two clubs can agree on a price.

Giroud’s departure to Stamford Bridge would then allow Michy Batshuayi to be sent on loan to Borussia Dortmund. This in turn, would mean Aubameyang’s £60m transfer to Arsenal could be finalised before the transfer window closes tomorrow night.
