Everton and Arsenal are pursuing Inter Milan midfielder Marcelo Brozovic, according to SportItalia (via Football-Italia.net).

The Croatian international has been linked with the Gunners for the best part of four years before he made the switch from Dinamo Zagreb.

Now Inter are said to be interested in selling the 25 year old to stay within UEFA’s Financial Fair Play regulations. Reports in Italy suggest that both the Gunners and Everton have made proposals to the Serie A team for Brozovic, but it seems the Merseyside club are leading the race.

The Corriere Dello Sport (via Calciomercato.com) report that the Toffees may offer Davy Klaassen in exchange for the attacking midfielder. The Dutchman has fallen out of favour under Sam Allardyce at Goodison Park following his £24m move from Ajax in the summer.

Brozovic has been in and out of the Inter side this season, having played 18 games in all competitions but having started just eight times.
