Monaco forward Keita Balde Diao has confirmed he will not be leaving the Ligue One side this month.
It has been reported that Serie A leaders Napoli were preparing a €45m (£39.5m) bid for the Senegalese international, while the Mirror have also linked Arsenal and Liverpool with the 22 year old.
However, speaking to French TV station Canal Plus (quotes via Le10 Sport), Keita said he is keen to remain at Monaco:
“The interest of Napoli? Yes, I saw it everywhere. But my head is in Monaco now, and not another team.”
“Everyone knows Monaco, it’s a big club, last year it won the championship and reached the semi-finals of the Champions League. They have been doing very well for a long time.”
The Senegalese winger only joined Monaco from Lazio for €30m in the summer, but the Mirror reported that the Ligue One champions were considering offloading the player for a profit this month.
Keita’s prospective move to the Gunners was always unlikely considering the club have been solely focused in recent days on getting the signing of Borussia Dortmund forward Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang over the line.
With just over a day to go before the transfer window closes, deals for other rumoured targets are looking increasingly unlikely now.
