Everton are interested in signing AC Milan striker Andre Silva, according to Calciomercato.com.

The Portuguese ace has also been linked with a switch to Arsenal in recent months. The Gunners were said to have watched the 22 year old before his €38m to the Rossoneri in the summer, but his move to the San Siro hasn’t exactly worked out.

Silva has scored frequently in the Europa League but has failed to find the back of the net in Serie A, leading to serious criticism from manager Gennaro Gattuso.

Arsenal are currently struggling for options up front due to Olivier Giroud’s hamstring injury, with Danny Welbeck being the only other recognised centre forward who can replace first choice striker Alexandre Lacazette.

Silva could certainly be considered as an option. He scored 21 times for Porto last campaign, and has scored 11 goals in just 18 games for Portugal. Whether he is a genuine target for either Everton or Arsenal, we will find out soon enough.
