Serie A leaders are considering a bid for midfielder Jack Wilshere, according to Calcioline.com.

The Italian website reports that the Partenopei are interested in the 25 year old as they look to strengthen their options in central midfield. sporting director Cristiano Giuntoli is said to have shortlisted as of one of the club’s potential January targets.

The England international’s contract expires in the summer, and the Italian side believe the midfielder may consider a change of clubs when the window opens next month.

has yet to begin talks with Arsene about signing a contract extension despite starting the club’s last two games. The boss says that discussions will commence at the end of December, but by then, other teams will likely have lined up their own offers to the player.

Calcioline suggest a €15million (£13.2m) bid may be acceptable to if contract talks don’t progress once they get under way with the midfielder.
