Hoffenheim have set a price tag of €25m (£22m) for attacking midfielder Nadiem Amiri, according to Calciomercato.com.

The Sun reported last week that Arsenal and Tottenham were interested in signing the German Under 21 international, and it seems like the player’s club are willing to negotiate his sale.

Amiri generally plays in the centre of the pitch, behind the striker, but has been employed on occasion on the left and right hand side of midfield. He has had a decent start to the season in the Bundesliga with two goals and two assists in his first 14 games.

The 21 year old’s potential is certainly what Gunners and Spurs scouts are looking at when assessing the German. Manchester United were also said to be in the running for the player but their interest seems to have cooled in recent days with Calciomercato reporting that the two London rivals are currently in pole position for the creative midfielder.
