German international dismisses speculation that Arsenal switch is imminent

|

Paris Saint-Germain attacking midfielder Julian Draxler says he has no intention of leaving the Ligue One side mid way through the season.

The German international has been linked with a move to Arsenal as part of a deal which would see Alexis Sanchez move in the other direction in the January transfer window.

When asked about the latest rumours by Spanish publication Marca (translated by Football365.com), Draxler replied:

“I am not thinking about leaving the club in winter or summer. I am in mid-season with PSG now and I am focused on the high aims we have. It is not a relevant moment now to think about my future. But, of course, the Bundesliga is always interesting.”

Despite the constant speculation surrounding his future at the Parc des Princes, Draxler has firmly remained part of manager Unai Emery’s first team plans, while others such as Lucas Moura and Javier Pastore have had to settle for less game time this season following the high profile arrivals of Neymar and Kylian Mbappe in the summer.

The 24 year old started against Angers for PSG in the last game before the international break, scoring once and providing an assist for another in a 5-0 win.
