German star speaks out about claims he could join Arsenal

|

Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Julian Draxler has insisted he is happy to stay at the Ligue One club despite speculation linking him with a move away from France in recent days.

Arsenal and Liverpool are reportedly lining up January bids for the 24 year old but speaking to German website DW Kick Off (quotes via Goal.com), Draxler said he was enjoying his life in Paris:

“I will do everything I can to be in the first XI. I’m really enjoying Paris, the city is really nice – I have a lot of fun playing with great players and in a great squad. I’m very happy.”

The German international only made the £35m switch from Wolfsburg last January, but the arrival of both Neymar and Kylian Mbappe in the summer has prompted speculation that the midfielder could look to move on in search for first team football.

So far though it seems that PSG manager Unai Emery is looking to find a place for him in the starting line up. He started on the right wing against Metz in a 5-1 win, and in a number 10 role last weekend in the 2-0 victory over Lyon, with both Mbappe and Neymar playing alongside him.
