Arsenal midfielder Aaron Ramsey put in a highly polished display against Chelsea at the weekend.
The midfielder, who was heavily criticised for his performance in the 4-0 loss against Liverpool, came the closest to scoring for the Gunners, hitting the post before Alexandre Lacazette missed the rebound.
The Welsh international will need to build on this display however to ensure that Arsenal use the 0-0 draw at Stamford Bridge as a springboard to perform well in upcoming back to back home league matches against West Brom and Brighton.
The biggest difference in the Arsenal display against Chelsea, in contrast to the one at Anfield, was the work ethic and the pressing which gave the opposition far less time to settle on the ball, allowing Ramsey to make an impact in the final third of the pitch where he is strongest.
The Twitter reaction to Ramsey’s performances was unanimously positive although some were regretting their past criticisms of the 26 year old:
Indeed one of Rambo’s best in an Arsenal shirt
