With the news that Danny Welbeck will miss at least three weeks with a groin injury he sustained in the draw against Chelsea, some Arsenal fans are now hoping that Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger will look to start the £52.5m record signing Alexandre Lacazette alongside Alexis Sanchez to offer the Gunners more potency going forward.
Wenger has explained that Lacazette was substituted after 65 minutes against Chelsea on Sunday because he does not think the Frenchman is capable of playing 90 minutes in the Premier League at the moment.
The 26 year old did miss a golden chance in the 0-0 draw at Stamford Bridge but Wenger says the decision to replace the forward with Alexis Sanchez was purely down to the French international’s fitness levels.
Here is some of the Twitter reaction to the news that Welbeck will be sidelined, and what that means for Lacazette:
Not gona lie , it's kinda a positive ??????????? least Wenger has no choice now, to play Lacazette ,Sanchez & Ozil all together now ???? finally ???????????????? https://t.co/pwUr4BpHjG

Before I die, I want to see Ozil, Sanchez, and Lacazette play on the same pitch together for 90 minutes. PLEASE WENGER, JUST ONCE!!!

Others ares still perplexed by Wenger’s handling of the striker:
Why does Wenger keep subbing off Lacazette. It's concerning me

Anyone want a bet that in two seasons time when Wenger signs his next contract, Lacazette has already departed for pastures new?
