Arsenal are likely to miss out on Caen striker Yann Karamoh, according to Italian journalist Gianluca Di Marzio, despite making a better offer than their rivals Inter Milan.

It seems the Serie A side are the French Under 21 international’s preferred destination if the report is to be believed. There could yet be possible complications in the deal for the forward though

Di Marzio says that as the 19 year old has just one year left on his contract at the Ligue One side, the Italian club are unwilling to go beyond the €5million they have offered for the player.

Whether this will be acceptable to Karamoh’s club Caen, it remains to be seen. The teenager scored five goals and contributed four assists in 35 league games last season. He mostly played on the right hand side rather than in his favoured central position, but his performances have no doubt impressed Arsene Wenger with a reported bid having been made.
