Napoli are considering a move for Arsenal goalkeeper Wojciech Szczesny, according to the Corriere Dello Sport.

The Italian newspaper say that the Polish international is just one of the options the Serie A club are considering to replace current number one Pepe Reina who has just 12 months to run on his contract at the San Paolo.

Szczesny will return to the Gunners for pre-season training after spending two seasons out on loan at Roma. His future is far from certain though with Petr Cech still very much the club’s number one goalkeeper.

The 27 year old is not the only keeper under consideration by Napoli Sporting Director Cristiano Guintoli with the Corriere Dello Sport also reporting that Roma’s Lukasz Skorupski, a fellow Polish international, Cagliari’s Alessio Cragno, Udinese’s Alex Meret and Genoa’s Mattia Perin are all being considered.

Szczesny was Roma’s number one keeper throughout last season, making 38 appearances, conceding 39 and keeping 14 clean sheets.
