Fenerbahce have offered a €3.8m (£3.3m) a year contract to Arsenal striker Lucas Perez, Sporx.com reports.

The Turkish club are believed to be keen to snap up the 28 year old, but it is unclear  whether they can afford the transfer fee for the player. The Gunners’ signed the Spaniard from Deportivo La Coruna for £17million last summer and they are unlikely to want to sell the forward for a knock down price.

Perez has only managed to feature in eleven Premier League games this season, having made just two starts. In all competitions, the striker has scored seven goals in 21 matches, but he has been out of action since mid March with a thigh strain. He made his last appearance as a substitute in the 5-0 win over Lincoln City in the quarter final of the FA Cup.

Earlier this month, manager Arsene Wenger told reporters that he had sympathy for Perez after failing to give him enough opportunities in the first team this season:

“Of course he’s a top quality striker and I couldn’t give him the games he wants and deserves I confess that and I feel sorry for him.”
