Arsenal are keeping tabs on Celtic left-back Kieran Tierney ahead of a potential summer transfer, reports John Cross of the Daily Mirror.
It’s thought that Arsene Wenger is eager to strengthen his defence, especially in the left-back position despite already having Nacho Monreal and Kieran Gibbs, as well as signing promising full-back Cohen Bramall from non-league side Hednesford Town in January, on Arsenal’s books.
But it appears Wenger is looking for a long-term successor to Monreal and 19-year-old Tierney is supposedly on the Frenchman’s radar.
The Gunners have send scouts on several occasions to watch over Tierney, with Celtic aware of the interest in the left-back and are bracing themselves for a summer bid.
Meanwhile, Celtic have recently been linked with a loan move for Arsenal’s promising winger Chris Willock this summer and the Scottish club could use Tierney in a potential swap deal at the end of the season.
