Barcelona are preparing to launch a £35million bid for Arsenal’s Hector Bellerin this summer.
The 21-year-old right-back is believed to be the Catalan club’s number one target as they look to fill the void left by Dani Alves who joined Juventus last summer.
It is understood that Bellerin’s representative has met with Barcelona officials again in recent weeks to discuss details on a possible switch.
Barcelona have struggled to replace Alves in the right-back role with Aleix Vidal failing to live up to the bill since arrival from Sevilla in 2015.
Bellerin only recently signed a new six-year deal in November last year, but Barcelona are confident they can re-sign the ex-Barcelona defender.
It’s being reported that the Arsenal full-back wants a return to Spain, and could cost up to £35million for the Gunners to even consider letting him go.
Bellerin has become a regular for Arsenal in recent years and with a new deal signed only five months ago, it’s difficult to see Arsene Wenger accepting any offer from Barcelona for the young Spaniard.
