Mesut Ozil has once again been linked with a shock move to Manchester United this summer.
The German playmaker played under Jose Mourinho during his time at Real Madrid before he joined Arsenal in 2013.
However, the 28-year-old’s future at the Emirates remains unclear with talks over a new deal ongoing. As a result, Ozil has been linked with a move away this summer and Mourinho appears keen to work with him once again and compete with Bayern Munich for the German signature, according to Football.London.
Arsene Wenger wants to tie Ozil down to a new deal with his current one expiring at the end of next season.
Ozil reportedly turned down a new contract offer of £280,000-a-week from Arsenal, despite the player only recently claiming he is happy with life at the Emirates and wants to win the Champions League with the north London club.
The Gunners will be hoping they and the midfielder can agree terms before the summer window opens or could face a tough time keeping him at the club next season.
