Arsenal will reportedly put Alexis Sanchez up for sale for £50million if the striker fails to agree a new deal this summer.
The 28-year-old Chilean will have one-year remaining on his existing contract at the Emirates this summer, and Arsene Wenger has confirmed that talks over a new deal have been shelved until the end of the season.
It is understood that Sanchez wants double his current £130,000-a-week wages to commit to the club beyond summer 2018, with the Gunners only reportedly offering him at the highest of £200,000-a-week.
Wenger has previously claimed that he would rather let Sanchez leave on a free than sell him this summer, but it’s now thought the Gunners do have a price in mind (£50million) if they can’t persuade the Chile international to sign a new deal.
Sanchez is not short of admirers if he decides to call it quits this summer with Bayern Munich, Juventus, Inter Milan, Atletico Madrid, Manchester City, Manchester United and Chelsea all reportedly keen on his services.
