PSG revive pursuit that could scupper Arsenal transfer plans

|

Paris Saint-Germain have revived their interest in signing Benfica playmaker Goncalo Guedes, reports the Record.

The Portuguese newspaper say the 20-year-old has been a long term target for the French club, and they are planning a future bid for the promising midfielder.

Arsenal are also reportedly interested in Guedes, and he was tipped as a potential replacement for Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain in a report by the Sun back in December.

The Record, however, say that PSG will not make a move for Guedes in the January transfer window but will more likely make their attempt at the end of the season.

The Ligue One champions have already splashed out £40million on Wolfsburg midfielder Julian Draxler this month, another former target of Arsene Wenger.

Guedes has had an excellent season in the Portuguese Primeira Liga with 25 appearances, five goals and seven assists, playing in the number ten role for Benfica this campaign.
