Sevilla are prepared to sell midfielder Steven N’Zonzi for two installments of €15 million (£13 million), according to Tuttosport (via calciomercato.com).

The fact that the Spanish club are willing to let the 28-year-old go for the less than the €30 million up front stated in the player’s release clause could spark a battle for the Frenchman’s signature in the January transfer window.

Tuttosport report that Sevilla have yet to receive an official offer for N’Zonzi despite interest from Juventus, Arsenal, Chelsea and Manchester City. The midfielder is said to have rejected a new contract which would have increased his release clause to €50 million, and it has led to Sevilla reluctantly seeking a buyer for the former Stoke City and Blackburn Rovers player.

A €15 million up front cost could attract more clubs into bidding for N’Zonzi during the transfer window, including the likes of Barcelona. In a interview with FourFourTwo magazine, the Frenchman said he was flattered by interest from Barca and he is not missing the Premier League.
