Paris Saint-Germain have rejected the chance to sign Andre Silva from Porto, according to the Record.

The Portuguese newspaper say that Silva’s agent Jorge Mendes is currently in Paris to finalise his client Goncalo Guedes’s move from Benfica but reportedly also offered Silva to PSG’s sporting director Patrick Kluivert at a meeting.

The Dutchman is said to be on the lookout for a replacement for star striker Edinson Cavani in the summer but he apparently said that Silva is not one of the player’s that the French club are looking at.

Record say that this will come as a boost to the five other clubs looking at signing the 21 year old. Arsenal, along with Real Madrid, Barcelona, Atletico Madrid and Manchester City are all believed to be tracking the striker.

The Portuguese international has been in excellent form for Porto this season with 16 goals in 28 appearances so far this campaign.
