FC Crotone have scheduled a meeting in the next few weeks to tie down goalkeeper Aniello Viscovo to a professional contract, according to TMW.

The Italian website report Arsenal are keeping tabs on the 17-year-old but if the Italian agrees to a new deal, the Gunners may cool their interest.

It is believed that Viscovo’s agent Luigi Liberti and Crotone Sporting Director Giuseppe Ursino will start discussions over Viscovo very soon and it is reported that they see the teenager as having such a promising future that they anticipate him becoming first choice for the Serie A side as early as next season.

Viscovo has not played a competitive fixture for Crotone’s first team so far but was on the bench for the Italian side’s first two league games in the league this campaign after being promoted from Serie B. He may have to be first choice in the Italian second division though as Crotone are currently 19th in Serie A, five points off safety.
