Chelsea are considering whether to bid £25 million for Hoffenheim defender Niklas Sule, according to goal.com.
The 21-year-old has been linked with Arsenal, Tottenham, Liverpool and a host other European clubs, who have all scouted the German international in recent months, the website reports.
German publication Sport Bild reported in September that the Blues had made a bid for Sule but the player felt he wasn’t ready for a move to the Premier League and remained at Hoffenheim in the summer instead.
Antonio Conte’s side are said to be still keen on Sule, and want to keep ahead of their rivals for the young centre-back’s signature, but it is not known whether his club would be more receptive to a bid in January or in the summer.
Sule has been an integral part of a defence that has helped Hoffenheim to stay unbeaten so far this season in 14 league matches. Julian Nagelsmann’s side currently sit fourth in the table with 26 points with six wins and eight draws so far this campaign.
