Arsenal set to lose out to PSG for playmaker

|

Arsenal look set to lose out to Paris Saint-Germain for the signing of German playmaker Julian Draxler, reports The Daily Mail.

The 23-year-old has asked to leave Wolfsburg at the earliest opportunity after being booed by the club’s fans in recent appearances and the German outfit are willing to let him go.

Arsenal have reportedly shown an interest in Draxler, with Mesut Ozil supposedly pleading with Arsene Wenger and co. to sign his fellow countryman in January.

However, it now appears Draxler has agreed a four-and-a-half-year deal with PSG, with the fee yet to be finalised.

Personal terms may have been agreed with PSG but Arsenal still have a chance of signing Draxler if they move quickly.

It’s believed Wolfsburg would be prepared to sell the German for around £25 million, nearly half of what the player’s asking price was last summer.
