Arsenal have been keeping tabs on yet another bright prospect, this time PSV Eindhoven’s Matthias Verreth.

According to Italian publication Calciomercato.com, Arsenal have supposedly sent scouts to watch the winger in action, but could face competition for the 18-year-old’s signature.

It’s believed AC Milan are also tracking Verreth, but PSV are prepared to fight to keep hold of their teenage talent.

Verreth, who primarily operated as a winger can also be deployed behind the striker, still has a contract with the Eredivisie side until 2019. But the Dutch club have also added an option in his existing deal to keep him at the club for a further year, if both parties agree.

Verreth has represented Belgium at Under-15, 17 and 19 levels and is regarded as one of the young talents to look out for in the Eredivise.

The versatile winger has yet to make his senior debut, and has featured six times for the PSV B team known as Jong PSV.
