Former Manchester United midfielder Roy Keane has stated that Arsenal are predictable in their approach to Champions League football and will be found out as soon as they face a top team in Europe.

The Gunners opened their European campaign for the new season on Tuesday night, riding their luck to some degree to draw 1-1 with Paris Saint-Germain at the Parc des Princes.

David Ospina put in a man-of-the-match performance to keep his side in the clash, while Alexis Sanchez score late in the second half to ensure the spoils were shared.

Keane has stated that Arsenal will progress from Group A this term but has again questioned whether the side has the fortitude to take on the continent’s best later in the competition.

“It’s a great point for them, but it’s the same old Arsenal,” Keane said on ITV Sport published online by The Express.

“A shocking performance. They will get out of the group, them and PSG, but the chances they gave up, they should have lost the game four or 5-0.

“As soon as they come up against a half-decent team, we’ve seen it over the years, we keep repeating it… Arsenal will struggle.

“We keep repeating it. They’ll get out of this group, but when they play a decent team in Europe, they’ll get knocked out, and we’ll be saying ‘What do Arsenal need to do?’

“It’s too early to judge on the players they’ve brought in, but we always have question marks about the sort of characters they have in the squad.”

Arsenal are back in domestic action this weekend with a trip to newly promoted Hull City, with three points the objective for Arsene Wenger’s men.
