European giants close in on Arsenal star

|

Both Manchester City and Barcelona are interested in signing Hector Bellerin and the pair are ready to make a move for the Spanish defender in January, according to The Daily Mail.

The gifted wideman has made the right-back spot at the Emirates Stadium his own, ousting Mathieu Debuchy to become first choice in the position at the North London club.

Bellerin’s diligent defending and attacking instincts have made him one of the best players in the Premier League in his position and the 21-year-old is a crucial man in Arsene Wenger’s team.

However, the Gunners could well face a challenge to hold onto their prize asset, with the Spaniard in high demand elsewhere.

City currently have former Arsenal man Bacary Sagna among their options at right-back but Bellerin would certainly fit into Pep Guardiola’s way of playing.

Meanwhile, Barcelona have lost long-term defender Dani Alves to Juventus and the former La Masia youth player could well be an option for the Catalan giants.
