Arsenal will have to break their club record transfer fee if they are to land Wolfsburg star Julian Draxler, with the Bundesliga outfit holding firm in their £50 million valuation of the attacking midfielder according to The Daily Star.
The Germany international has been on the Gunners radar for a number of years and has sparked a transfer market frenzy after confirming that he wants to leave Wolfsburg after only one season with the club.
Draxler was touted as a possible new signing for Arsene Wenger’s men back in his Schalke days but the deal did not materialise.
With the gifted playmaker now available and looking for a transfer, the Emirates Stadium faithful will urge the North London club to make a move for the sublime German.
However, it remains to be seen whether Arsenal should pay more for Draxler than they did for Alexis Sanchez or Mesut Ozil, despite the young star being a prodigious talent.
