Arsenal are believed to be one of the Premier League clubs interested in signing Exeter City prodigy Ethan Ampadu, Goal report.

The Gunners have a fabled youth academy at the club and are continually looking for new talent to blood into the system.

Ampadu is only 15 years old but made his senior football debut recently in a cup clash with Brentford.

The teenager is a Wales under-17 international and stepped out at centre-half for the Football League club despite his young age.

The report suggests that Tottenham are also monitoring the young star’s development but that Arsenal have the advantage in potentially landing the teenager.

Ampadu’s father Kwame is a youth coach at the Emirates Stadium and as such the chance to feature under his parent’s stewardship could well see the starlet end up as a Gunner.

Arsenal have had success in signing players from the Football League in the past and also landed Rob Holding from Bolton Wanderers earlier this summer.
